In short
Transamerica's Immediate Solution costs about $43.49 a month for a 60-year-old man and $32.71 for a woman buying $10,000 in the preferred non-tobacco class, full benefit from day one. The tables below come from the carrier's final expense rate guide, with the $42 annual policy fee included and the monthly factor applied. Standard class runs about 20 percent higher; the 10-Pay version costs more per month but is paid up in ten years; Easy Solution is the graded policy for harder health histories.
Transamerica's final expense line is the other product agents quote next to Living Promise, and the two trade the lowest price back and forth depending on age and sex. Transamerica's edge is range: it will write a $1,000 policy for a child or a $50,000 policy for a healthy 70-year-old, and it offers a ten-pay option for people who want the premiums finished before retirement income tightens.
Immediate Solution rates by age, preferred non-tobacco
Monthly premiums from the carrier's rate guide, preferred non-tobacco class, $42 annual fee included. The $1,000 to $4,999 band carries a $60 fee instead and prices a little higher per thousand.

The Nectar application prices final expense coverage in about two minutes: pick the amount, answer the health questions once, and it shows the monthly cost and which insurer and class you qualify for before you commit to anything.
Preferred versus standard
Preferred and standard are both full-benefit, day-one policies; the health questions decide which one you are offered. Standard typically applies to treated diabetes with insulin, COPD without oxygen, or a heart condition more than two years old. For $10,000:
| Age | Man, preferred | Man, standard | Woman, preferred | Woman, standard |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | $30.55 | $34.66 | $24.23 | $27.67 |
| 60 | $43.49 | $51.11 | $32.71 | $39.42 |
| 70 | $69.78 | $101.90 | $52.88 | $69.68 |
| 80 | $136.34 | $190.34 | $101.26 | $135.32 |

10-Pay Solution rates
Same underwriting and benefit as Immediate Solution, but premiums stop after ten years and the policy stays in force for life. The monthly cost is higher; the total paid is usually lower for anyone who lives past the mid-70s.

Easy Solution (graded) rates
For applicants who cannot qualify for the level policies, ages 18 to 80, up to $25,000. For a natural death in the first two years it pays the premiums plus 10 percent; accidental death pays in full from day one; after two years every cause pays in full.
| Age | Man, $10k | Woman, $10k | Man, $15k | Woman, $15k |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | $75.79 | $62.75 | $111.88 | $92.31 |
| 55 | $91.43 | $72.63 | $135.33 | $107.13 |

Frequently asked questions
How much is Transamerica Immediate Solution per month?
About $30.55 at 50, $43.49 at 60, $69.78 at 70 and $136.34 at 80 for $10,000 in the preferred class, for a man. The table above covers 40 to 85 and three amounts.
Is there a medical exam?
No. All three policies are simplified issue: health questions on the application, no exam, no blood work.
What is the difference between Immediate Solution and Easy Solution?
Immediate Solution pays the full benefit from day one and needs clean health answers. Easy Solution accepts more conditions but pays premiums plus 10 percent for a natural death in the first two years.
Why would anyone choose the 10-Pay version?
To finish paying before retirement. It costs more each month for ten years and nothing after; for people who live into their 80s it is often the cheaper policy overall.
Are these rates current?
They are computed from Transamerica's final expense agent rate guide. Carriers reprice, and the issued premium depends on the class you qualify for, so treat them as the carrier's published prices, not a quote.
Nectar Term policies are issued by Nectar's partner insurers, each rated A or better by A.M. Best, and serviced by Nectar. Prices in this article are estimates calibrated to published 2026 averages and are not an offer of coverage. Final rates are set during underwriting.
