Licenses and Disclosures

Where Nectar is licensed to sell life insurance, who issues Nectar Term policies, and how to verify our license with your state insurance department.

Updated October 30, 2026

Life insurance is regulated state by state. This page tells you who we are, where we are licensed, and how to check for yourself.

Our license

NECTAR LEGAL NAME is a licensed insurance agency. Henry Klein, the agent who reviews every application, holds a resident life insurance license in Ohio and non-resident licenses in the other states where Nectar Term is offered. Our National Producer Number and the full list of states appear in the footer of every page.

You can verify any agent or agency through your state's insurance department or through the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, which links to every state's producer lookup.

Who issues Nectar Term policies

Nectar Term is a term life insurance policy issued by one of Nectar's partner insurers and serviced by Nectar. The issuing company for your policy is named on your quote, in your application, and in your policy documents. Each partner is rated A or better by A.M. Best at the time of writing:

How Nectar is paid

Nectar receives a commission from the issuing insurer when a policy is placed. The commission does not change your premium. We receive no other compensation from any insurer and do not sell leads or customer information.

Not all products in all states

Nectar Term, its riders and its no-exam underwriting are not available in every state, and some features differ by state. Prices shown on this site are estimates based on published rate tables and are not an offer of coverage; the final premium is set by the issuing insurer during underwriting. Nothing on this site is tax, legal or medical advice.
