Nectar exists because buying life insurance is harder than it should be. The product is simple. The process around it usually is not: quote sites that sell your phone number, call centers that read scripts, and prices that change after you have already spent an afternoon on the phone.
We built Nectar Term to fix the process, not the product.
What Nectar Term is
Nectar Term is level term life insurance: you pick an amount from $100,000 to $3,000,000 and a term from 10 to 30 years, and the price never changes for the whole term. Most applicants skip the medical exam. Many get a decision the same day. Before you apply, you see your estimated price, your approval odds and how long the decision should take, so you are never guessing.
Policies are issued by our partner insurers, each rated A or better by A.M. Best, and serviced by Nectar. We match each applicant to the partner whose underwriting fits their health profile, which is how we keep prices and approval odds where they are. The issuing company is named on your quote and in your policy documents. Our guide to how Nectar Term works explains the whole process step by step.
Who is behind it
Henry Klein is a licensed life insurance agent and the founder of Nectar. Every guide on this site is written or reviewed by Henry before it is published, and every application is handled by a licensed agent, not a call center. If you want to talk, you ask; we do not place outbound calls unless you request one.

Two minutes to a price, with your approval odds up front. No calls unless you ask.
How we make money
When a policy is issued, the issuing insurer pays Nectar a commission. You pay the same premium you would pay buying the same policy anywhere else; the commission is built into the insurer's price, not added on top. We do not sell your information, we do not pass your details to other agencies, and we do not run advertising on this site.
