Life insurance is a decision about money and the people who depend on you, so the pages on this site are held to a simple standard: every number can be traced, every page is read by a licensed agent before it goes live, and nothing is written to please an insurer.
Who writes and reviews the guides
Every guide is written and reviewed by the licensed life insurance agents on the Nectar team. Nectar Financial is licensed to sell life insurance in all 50 states. A licensed agent reads and approves each page before it is published, and the same agents answer the applications that come in through the site, so what a guide says is what we do.
Where the prices come from
The prices on our rate pages are real quotes from the insurers' own pricing for an Ohio applicant, pulled on the date each page shows, by age, sex, amount, term and health class. We never invent a price and we never round one to make a point. Where a page uses an estimate instead of a quote, it says so. Prices in other states can differ, and every price is subject to the insurer's underwriting.

How pages are updated
Insurers reprice a few times a year. Rate pages are re-run after every new pull of quotes, and each page carries the date it was last updated. A guide that describes a rule, a product or a law is checked when the rule changes and at least once a year.
How we are paid
Nectar is paid a commission by the issuing insurer when a policy is placed, the same way any licensed agent is paid. No insurer pays to be mentioned, ranked or recommended on this site, and no guide is sponsored. Comparisons with other companies state what their public materials say and nothing more.
Your information
A quote on this site is a quote from Nectar. Your details are used to price and place your policy and are never sold or passed to other agencies as a lead.
Corrections
If a page is wrong or out of date, email company@nectarinsure.com and a licensed agent will check it and fix it. We would rather correct a page than defend it.
